The “Simple Objects” project started out many years ago when I went to the University of Photography in Gothenburg, Sweden, while exploring new ideas for making photographs. This has been on my mind ever since. Turning simple objects into shape and color within the limitations of a camera is fascinating and surprising. I have developed a technique that let me control the process of making images but also let the element of chance and happy accidents come into play.
